The Alpine Tundra is found on mountains worldwide. Because of this, trees can't grow very well. The soil in the Alpine is well drained, unlike the Arctic. Nighttime in the Alpine is usually below freezing, and it gets about 30 centimeters of rainfall a year. This biome is usually above 10,000 feet, and it's winter lasts about 7 months. The Alpine is also very dry.
